A staple event on the Central Hawke’s Bay calendar for the last 40 years, the Hatuma Half Marathon is a picturesque 21.1-kilometre course that takes you around the entire circumference of Lake Whatumā.

Starting and finishing at the Waipukurau Racecourse, the event is open to walkers and runners, with a half marathon and 10 km and 5 km options.

This is a great community-driven event suitable for all abilities, with the option to compete as an individual or part of a team. It will leave you wanting to come back for more! Join us on Sunday 15 September to take part in this iconic Central Hawke’s Bay event! 

The Hatuma Half Marathon is a part of Central Hawke's Bay Spring Fling. The Spring Fling is a series of standout events through September and October, capturing the essence of springtime in Central Hawke's Bay!

Spring is a stunning time of year in Central Hawke's Bay and the Spring Fling is a wonderful showcase of the region.

Spring Fling events span from Otane to Takapau, Tikokino to Porangahau, and offer plenty of variety for visitors to experience the very best Central Hawke's Bay in spring.
