Road to Recovery

14 March 2024 Roading programme update

Despite the significant challenges and cyclone recovery efforts over the past year, Central Hawke’s Bay District Council has remained focused on delivering the five key priority areas identified in its Long Term Plan 2021-2031 ‘Facing the Facts’ to support smart district growth and proud, prosperous communities.

Since 2021, we have invested heavily in our roading network with over $69.2 million spent with New Zealand Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) assistance repairing, upgrading and maintaining our local roads and transport network.

In this week's CHB Mail (Thursday 14 March) is a double page spread (link below) with a focus on our roading network, key highlights from the last two years, an update on Cyclone Gabrielle response and recovery programme and a few project spotlights.
