Join artist Maioha Kara in a kōrero with Pātaka Art + Museum Lead Curator Ioana Gordon-Smith about 'In Good Relation'.
The exhibition highlights Kara’s ongoing interest in the relations between, and mauri of all things.
Maioha Kara (Ngāti Korokī Kahukura, Ngāti Tipa, Te Ātihaunui-A-Papārangi, Tūhourangi, Te Whānau a Hinetapora, Kuki Airani) is a Wellington-based artist currently completing her PhD at Massey University. Her work has been shown at Pātaka, Govett-Brewster Art Gallery and The Dowse Art Museum and is held within public and private collections across Aotearoa.
loana Gordon-Smith (Faleula, Le'auva'a, Pākehā) is Lead Curator at Pātaka. She was assistant curator of Yuki Kihara's Paradise Camp at the 59th Venice Biennale 2022 and co-curator of the internationally touring Indigenous triennial, Naadohbii: To Draw Water.
