The ‘Love Food, Hate Waste’ campaign aims to help you reduce your food waste by suggesting these simple changes:
The Love Food, Hate Waste campaign is being run by local councils across the country and all Hawke’s Bay councils are involved.
Similar campaigns overseas have resulted in significant reductions in food sent to landfill, including 18% in the United Kingdom. Such a reduction in New Zealand would see 46,600 tonnes diverted from landfills annually.
