We aim to keep you updated on what's going on across our 1,265 km of roading network, including all current road works and restrictions, and weather events impacting our roads

ROADING RECOVERY UPDATES

Please find below details of those roads and bridges in the district where access is currently restricted or caution advised due to general damage, maintenance requirements and the devastating effects of Cyclone Gabrielle. Our Land and Transport Team together with our post-cyclone Road to Recovery team are working hard to prioritise and address all damage on the roading network and thank you for your patience and support as we manage the workload.

  • Te Uri Road: CLOSED at 17 km from Mangaorapa Road due to cyclone damage affecting the road. No through access.
  • Walker Road: CLOSED due to cyclone damage to road.
  • Tourere Road: Resident access only; 3,500 kg restriction. Multiple dropouts due to cyclone damage
