Request a Property File

Property files are publicly available to view and accessible by request but there is a charge for this service.

You can request to view publicly available property files by getting in touch with our team and applying to receive the information via email. 

The property file will generally contain information on:

  • building and resource consents,
  • a drainage plan, and
  • any hazardous information if identified and applicable to that property.

Please fill in the form below to request a property file and make payment on request. Once the payment has been processed, the file will be emailed to you within three working days. If you do not have email access, please call our Building Consents team on 06 857 8060, or email propertyfiles@chbdc.govt.nz for assistance.
