Parking in Town Centres

Parking regulations aim to ensure cars are parked safely and considerately, as well as making sure everyone has a fair chance of getting a car park in the main town centres.

Central Hawke’s Bay is Thriving!

With the unprecedented growth in our district, we have had an increase in demand for parking in our townships. We currently have time limited parking in Waipukurau and Waipawa town centres, which is being proactively monitored by our friendly compliance team to ensure everyone has access to parking to do their shopping and support our local businesses.

Time Limit Parking

Time limit parking in the town centres range from 5 minutes to 60 minutes in Waipukurau and from 5 minutes to 15 minutes in Waipawa. If you park for longer than the indicated parking time, you will receive a penalty notice. Parking in a disability park without a permit is also an offence and non-permit holders will receive a penalty notice.  Maps showing the various parking available in Waipawa and Waipukurau town centres are displayed below and also available here Parking brochure
