Looking to give an orphaned pooch its forever home? Get in touch and we may have just the furry friend for you.
Dogs arrive at our pound for a variety of reasons and are well cared for by our largely volunteer pound staff. We assess the suitability of all impounded dogs for adoption, carrying out health checks, vaccinating and micro-chipping those that need it, and sometimes even de-sexing dogs. After seven days in our care, many impounded dogs are ready for adoption. Could this be you?
Check out our puppies and dogs below, ready and waiting for their new forever family home. See one you like?
Coco is an adorable bundle of fun and energy mixed with the perfect amount of gentle and loyalty who loves a cuddle. She is well trained, sociable, loves people and some dogs (with careful introduction) - she is not a fan of cats.
Coco has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and would make an excellent addition to an active and fun-loving family
Dudley is a super sweet, well-behaved chap with great recall. He loyally sits on command but will require good fencing as he has quite the athletic leap. Dudley gets on with some dogs with careful introductions but would be best suited to a single pet family.
Dudley is registered, microchipped and vaccinated, all ready for a new active family, ideally with older children who love to run, play and cuddle.
Brutus is a chilled-out fella who has won the hearts of the whole Animal Services team. He loves a game of tug, which he always wins, but hasn't a mean bone in his strong body. He loves to swim in the river and enjoy quiet cuddles.
Brutus has been neutered, is registered, microchipped and vaccinated, but has not been tested with cats. He would love a family to take him on walks and give him the cuddles he deserves. Let us know if this sounds like you.
Donna is in good health and has been crate trained. She happily sits on people's laps and is a wee social butterfly, holding her own among bigger dogs and having no trouble with cats. Donna loves going for walks and swimming in the river, and has been well loved. Can you reach out and give this tiny treasure a new loving home?
Blaze is an adorable, active tearaway who was never claimed from the pound so little is known about his early life - although sometime in his early years he lost half his tail! Blaze loves high activity but he knows 'sit', has pretty good recall and is improving daily on his lead walking. He would best suit an active family with older children, who is willing to continue his training. He is registered, microchipped, neutered and wormed.
Mia is a fun-loving bundle of joy who socialises very well with people despite not having had the best start in life. She loves zooming around the paddock with other dogs but also walks quite well on lead. She will join a new family vaccinated, microchipped and registered, and arrangements will be made for her to be spayed. Mia is eager to please, however we have not tested her suitability for farm work. She would best suit an active owner who is prepared to put in some effort training her and provide the stimulation and exercise she needs.
