Matariki Regional Economic Development Strategy

Matariki is a regional economic development strategy for Hawke's Bay. It was co-created by Iwi, local authorities, business and Central Government and its purposes are to support the creation of jobs, to raise incomes in Hawke's Bay and to improve the overall economic performance and competitiveness of the region.matarikiecodev

All councils support the Matariki strategy. The strategy and an Action Plan with over 40 actions were formally launched in July 2016 and a number of funded projects in the Strategy's Action Plan are now proceeding, with strong council involvement.

The strategy and Action Plan can be found on the Matariki Economic Development website.
