In an increasingly competitive job market, fostering an environment where young talent can thrive is crucial for the future success of businesses and communities. Recognizing this essential need, we are thrilled to announce the launch of the inaugural Youth Friendly Employer Award 2023, a prestigious honour proudly sponsored by Jobs in Central Hawkes Bay and the Waipukurau Rotary. This award aims to shine a spotlight on those visionary businesses that are dedicated to nurturing and empowering the next generation of workers.

As we step into the future, it is imperative for employers to not only offer attractive job opportunities but also to create a conducive and inclusive atmosphere that supports the growth and development of young professionals. The Youth Friendly Employer Award 2023 is an initiative designed to celebrate those employers who go above and beyond in fostering a workplace culture that encourages learning, skill-building, and career advancement for young individuals.

The vision behind the Youth Friendly Employer Award is to acknowledge and celebrate employers who recognize the potential of young people and actively contribute to their personal and professional growth.

Why Youth Friendliness Matters

A youth-friendly workplace is more than just a catchy phrase; it signifies an organization's commitment to creating an environment where young employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to reach their fullest potential. Such workplaces prioritize mentorship, skill development, and meaningful opportunities that contribute not only to the success of the business but also to the overall growth and prosperity of the community.

With the rapid pace of technological advancement and evolving industries, young individuals bring fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and an eagerness to learn that can drive an organization's success to new heights. Recognizing and nurturing these qualities can lead to a stronger, more resilient workforce and a thriving local economy.
