Yani Mitchell has nearly completed her 6-month TeMāhuri work placement at Chrystall Law and as a result been offered full time employment with the business. TeMāhuri is a Jobs in Central Hawke’s Bay initiative that aims to place youth into nurturing workplaces, with the opportunity to develop their skills and in return the business gains a valuable team member. At the end of the placement the goal is that the employer will retain the staff member or have helped grow them to a point that they can secure further employment. Yani has proved to be an asset to the team and has been offered a full-time position as an AML and Office Assistant. Bridget Chrystall, Director of Chrystall Law said Yani is diligent, has a quick sense of humour and has fitted in well with the team at Chrystall Law. Kyla Grant, Estates Clerk, who was Yani’s supervisor throughout the placement, commented that Yani has a “youthful” approach to technology and very little phases her. Yani herself expressed that the placement has allowed her more financial independence as well as building her confidence to be seen as valuable and capable member of a professional office environment.
Congratulation Yanni and thank you Chrystall Law for providing a nurturing workplace.
