“Every person in our community has access to affordable, nutritious and sustainable food to meet their cultural and dietary needs.”
The first Food Security Action Plan for Central Hawkes’ Bay was created in July 2021. Following on from funding received after the 2020 COVID lockdown to bring communities together to create a shared vision, and to develop and implement a food security plan for the district. The overall aim is to create long term, sustainable food security in Tamatea/Central Hawke’s Bay.
The vision for this Food Security Action Plan is that:
“Every person in our community has access to affordable, nutritious and sustainable food to meet their cultural and dietary needs.”
The plan can be found here
