As we move toward the new norm of life in Level 2 this week, let’s focus on supporting local, as businesses begin to assess the true impact of the most recent lockdown.
We have been vigilant in our approach to control the risk of this new Delta variant, and it’s been amazing to see everyone in the community doing their part; but I implore you to keep up the good work - wear a mask when out and about, scan your app, and let’s all do what we can to #ShopCHB and help our local businesses through this.
As a rural community with growing and producing at its heart – our farmers have not stopped or slowed down. We thank them and all of the essential workers who have kept the cogs turning for their incredible work in very tough times.
Let’s continue to draw on our resilience, and community spirit to once again rise through adversity. Be kind, be patient, and together we will come back stronger than ever.
Kia Kaha,
Mayor Alex
