The Community Voluntary Organisation Support Fund (CVOS) is now open to applications from community based voluntary non-profit organisations in Central Hawke’s Bay. The CVOS fund is administered by Central Hawke’s Bay District Council and offers funding for community groups totaling $30,000. Applications are open to all groups until 9 August, 2019.
Groups can apply for funding under two categories. The first category offers $10,000 of funding to support voluntary organisations seeking grants for new community Initiatives or for those who are applying to the fund for the first time. The second category offers $20,000 for ongoing financial support to existing community groups who provide regular community services to all of Central Hawke’s Bay.
CVOS is one of many grant and funding streams available from key providers or administered by Central Hawke’s Bay District Council. Further funding is also available from other organisations such as Hawkes Bay Foundation, the Eastern and Central Community Trust and the Department of Internal Affairs.
Central Hawke’s Bay District Council Chief Executive Monique Davidson says, “Our voluntary organisations work tirelessly to improve the lives and wellbeing of so many people in our community. It’s vital that we recognise their contribution to our district.”
“The CVOS fund, along with our other funding streams, is one way we can offer financial support to our groups who make such a positive impact in Central Hawke’s Bay. I really encourage members of the voluntary sector to visit our website to find out more about our funding streams and apply today.”
Funding application forms are available from Council Offices in Waipawa, and at Central Hawke’s Bay Libraries or online at www.chbdc.govt.nz/our-district/grants/
Applications close on 9 August 2019.
