Jazz On the Village Green - David Paquette

Jazz piano royalty will open the latest Jazz on the Village Green series when American-born jazz pianist David Paquette brings his eclectic combination of New Orleans-based music and swing,to the stage on a baby grand piano.
The jazz pianist has recorded more than 45 albums, toured the European Jazz circuit, and was founder of the annual Waiheke Jazz Festival. Now a proud Wairoa resident he is delighted to kick off the 2018 series of free jazz concerts.
Get into the summer groove with Jazz on the Village Green, held on the Havelock North Village Green (Domain) from late January until early February. Launched in January 2015, the free concert series features local jazz musicians with each concert showcasing a different genre within the jazz tradition.
A great excuse to get together with friends and family, pack a picnic and chill out to some smooth jazz on a mid-summer Saturday afternoon.
