Flora Knight and Sean Donald play traditional old time country music. Their dedication to the traditions of this genre speak loud in clear in the way that they conduct their performances and ethos. Country music is a literal term - country music for country people. The themes and sentiment of the songs speak to those living outside of the constraints and structures of city life.
Flora and Sean's songs and tunes have been plucked from a time when the entertainment in rural
communities was one another, or music and dancing at a local hall. When the men would ask the women to dance, and people shared stories among themselves over tea and wine in intervals of a dance. Dedicating their lives to gathering songs, fiddle tunes and stories from such folks in small communities around the world, Flora and Sean have seen that it is evident that there are people in every nook and cranny that love and support music, and experiencing the grace in which people in rural communities receive the music, it is their commitment to ensure that these folk have it at their fingertips.
