Hawkes Bay Anniversary/Labour Day Holiday

Office hours:

The Council office in Waipawa and Waipukurau Service Centre will be closed from 5pm Thursday 18 October 2018, re-opening 8am Tuesday 23 October 2018.  For all queries telephone 06 857 8060 – 24 hour telephone service

Recycling collection:

• Waipawa area will be collected as normal on Friday 19 October 2018.
• Waipukurau area will be collected as normal on Monday 22 October 2018.

Beach rubbish collection:

• Blackhead Beach – Monday afternoon from 4.30pm
• Kairakau, Mangakuri, Pourerere, Aramoana - Tuesday morning from 7.30am

Transfer stations:

Council is saying “THANK YOU” to the citizens of CHB for their waste minimisation efforts by offering FREE* Greenwaste disposal at all Central Hawke’s Bay Transfer Stations this Labour Weekend:   

• Saturday and Sunday 20/21 October – normal hours.

*FREE disposal is for ONE (1) load of HOUSEHOLD greenwaste only e.g. hedge, lawn clippings, garden weeds etc.  Proof of residence in Central Hawke’s Bay must be shown – i.e. please show the attendant your power bill, bank account, rates notice etc as proof that you live in CHB.”
